Ausgehend von Ingeborg Bachmanns poetologischen Überlegungen in Musik und Dichtung (1959) und ihrem Gedicht Keine Delikatessen untersucht die Sendung Luigi Nonos Komposition Risonanze erranti (1986–87) als musikalische Antwort auf Bachmanns Denken über Sprache, Stille und Erinnerung. Im Mittelpunkt steht das Prozesshafte von Nonos Komponieren – die Offenheit des Werks, die Rolle der Elektronik und der Raum als Resonanzfeld des Hörens – sowie das gemeinsame ethische Moment von Bachmanns und Nonos Kunst: Schweigen als Form der Aufmerksamkeit und Verantwortung. Kira Henkel hat in Freiburg, Leipzig und Gießen Musikwissenschaft und Literaturwissenschaft studiert. Sie arbeitet heute an der Universität Hamburg, am Institut für Germanistik, als wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin im europäischen Forschungsprojekt Poetry in the Digital Age, das von Prof. Claudia Benthien geleitet wird. In ihrer Promotion beschäftigt sie sich mit der Beziehung zwischen zeitgenössischer Lyrik und Neuer Musik – genauer gesagt mit der Frage, wie sich die Tradition des Liedes in der Gegenwart verändert: Welche neuen Formen von Liedkunst entstehen heute, und wie klingen sie? Bevor sie nach Hamburg kam, forschte Kira Henkel zur Privatbibliothek des venezianischen Komponisten Luigi Nono. Dort untersuchte sie die handschriftlichen Notizen und Anmerkungen, die Nono in seinen Büchern hinterlassen hat – Spuren seines Denkens und Lesens, die eng mit seiner Musik verbunden sind. Dieses Projekt geht auf ihre Masterarbeit zurück, in der sie Nonos Spätwerk Risonanze erranti analysierte und den Umgang mit lyrischen Texten, insbesondere mit Ingeborg Bachmann, untersuchte. Für ihre Forschung war sie Stipendiatin des Deutschen Studienzentrums in Venedig. Heute verbindet sie in ihrer Arbeit musik- und literaturwissenschaftliche Perspektiven und interessiert sich besonders dafür, wie poetische Sprache, Klang und Stimme in der Gegenwartskunst neu zusammenfinden. ....................................... The unsayable in the inaudible – Ingeborg Bachmann and Luigi Nono in the studio: Kira Henkel The program “Unsayable in the Unhearable – Ingeborg Bachmann and Luigi Nono” explores the question of how the experience of silence transforms into artistic form for both artists. Based on Ingeborg Bachmann’s poetological reflections in Musik und Dichtung (1959) and her poem Keine Delikatessen, the program examines Luigi Nono’s composition Risonanze erranti (1986–87) as a musical response to Bachmann’s thinking about language, silence and memory. The focus is on the processual nature of Nono’s composing – the openness of the work, the role of electronics and space as a resonance field for listening – as well as the shared ethical moment of Bachmann’s and Nono’s art: silence as a form of attention and responsibility. Kira Henkel studied musicology and literature in Freiburg, Leipzig and Giessen. Today she works at the University of Hamburg, at the Institute for German Studies, as a research assistant in the European research project Poetry in the Digital Age, which is led by Prof. Claudia Benthien. In her doctoral thesis she is dealing with the relationship between contemporary poetry and new music – more specifically, with the question of how the tradition of song is changing in the present: What new forms of song art are emerging today, and what do they sound like? Before she came to Hamburg, Kira Henkel researched the private library of the Venetian composer Luigi Nono. There she examined the handwritten notes and annotations that Nono left in his books – traces of his thinking and reading that are closely linked to his music. This project goes back to her master’s thesis, in which she analyzed Nono’s late work Risonanze erranti and examined the handling of lyrical texts, especially those of Ingeborg Bachmann. For her research she was a scholarship holder from the German Study Center in Venice. Today, her work combines music and literary perspectives and is particularly interested in how poetic language, sound and voice come together in contemporary art. ....................................
