Beek presents sitespecific performances that explore the relations of bodies, materials and light through sound. Viola Yip, born and raised in Hong Kong, now based in Berlin, is an experimental composer, performer, improviser, sound artist and instrument builder. In her practice, she develops unorthodox self-built instruments, compositions and performances that explore the complex and dynamic relationships between materiality, media, space, human body and machine body through sounds. BMB con. was founded by Justin Bennett, Roelf Toxopeus and Wikke ‘t Hooft in 1989. Since 2006 BMB con. consists of a core duo working together with a changing group of invited artists / performers. BMB con. incorporate electronic and acoustic music, field recording, film, video and physical theatre in their performances and installations. As well as these fleeting, sometimes unique actions, BMB con. make and publish audio CD’s, cassettes, videos and photography. Transdisciplinary artist Bella Comsom explores sound and its physical aspects as a composer of conceptual pieces, commissioned works, and experimental electronic music. With a particular focus on electromagnetic fields, she designs specialised antennas that amplify this inaudible spectrum and transform it into audible sound. Her diverse practice includes sound installation, audiovisual, radio art and live performance. Fleurop is a test tone expert and daffodil collector. In his dj-sets he pulps left-field pop, GDR Dada and the sounds of movie projectors into heart-shaped boxes. Florian Bräunlich is an artist, curator and dj hailing from under and over the ground. Since 2018 he is curating Papiripar - Festival for Pop, Art, Rotation with his friends Nika Son and Felix Kubin.
