Fortunately, Chad Popple has time to bring his highly unique and sophistcated approach to music and percussion to this first-time trio meeting! Hughes, Costa, and Popple have played and worked together in other formations, this evening will be a first in this line-up. Hugo Costa is a Portuguese saxophonist based in Rotterdam. Costa focuses on the fringes of music between free improvisation and composed avant-garde music. His playing imbues a melodic abstraction and a shifting harmonic tonality by using extended and natural saxophone techniques.
