Heta Bilaletdin (live) Heta Bilaletdin is a multidisciplinary artist from Helsinki, whose works spans across sound and moving image. Utilizing samples, field recordings, singing, synthesizers, found objects and tapes, she creates intricate, collage-like compositions. Her experimental pop songs and musique concrète often incorporate the natural sound of wind, birds and water resulting in a dynamic and immersive auditory experience. Her album Nauhoi (KRAAK) is sparkly, inventive and decidedly woozy. The duo presents a compelling mix of afro-beat rhythms, cinematic soundscapes and post-punk aggression. Their debut album evokes the eclecticism of John Carpenter, RZA and the Splits, crafting a sound that is as innovative as it is unpredictable. His music captivates with its purposeful clumsiness, oscillating between dark and slabby tones, inducing both dance and disorder.
