Miki Yui Miki Yui ist eine japanische Künstlerin und Komponistin in Düsseldorf. Seit ihre erste Album „small sounds“ in 1999, spielt Sie ihre Musik aus sparsame, mysteriöse Musik mit Klänge aus Synthesizer, Sampler und Field-Recordings, die die Schönheit der Leere, das Phänomen des Koexistenz sowie den Resonanz enthüllen. Sie webt deren unterschiedliche Elemente zu einer fragilen, minimalistischen organischen Klanglandschaft mit abstrakter und narrativer Kraft. Ihre Musik spielt mit der subtile Wahrnehmung des Zuhörers, sie lässt Räume und Bilder in Kopf entfalten. Zusammenarbeit mit Carl Stone unter dem Monika Realistic Monk, mit Rolf Julius und Klaus Dinger (NEU! La Düsseldorf) Ihre 7te Album “APERIO” erschien 2020 von Label Hallow Ground. Ihre Duo Album mit Asmus Tietchens “Neues Boot” ist in 2021 von Label TAL erschienen. 2023 erschien ihre digital Album “Strömen” von Label LINE, sowie die Live Mitschnitt Veröffentlichungen auf dem Label Otoroku und Label Ftarri. Ein Fluß ist es nicht, es ufert vielmehr aus, in alle erdenklichen Richtungen, und man hat den Eindruck das die Sounds und deren zusammen wirken eine Art Wachstum beschreiben. Statt der Kamera oder des Mikroskops wird hier das Mikrofon in größter Nähe an das Geschehen gehalten und so wird die Energie und das hemmungslos unaufhaltsame Leben unmittelbar bewußt. “ Tolouse Lowtrax http://www.mikiyui.com Coldsore COLDSORE is a ‘doom drone’ project by grm, who has been active as a noise maker since 1999 with several aliases, mostly TOTSTELLEN + GRMMSK, but also in some collaborations projects such as SLEEPMASSK + KOLMIOLÄÄKE. With COLDSORE grm often focuses on compositions made with mostly self-made electronic sound generators and modulators. conceptually the sounds are responses or soifications of the many ways of civilization's destruction of environments and the socio-political climate, that leads to the degradation of our world. COLDSORE’s sound is rooted in grm’s background in anarchist activism, organizing and direct actions, but also the traumata resulting from endless shapes of violence that has been faced. Grm’s label TOTES FORMAT is a small imprint that has been giving a platform for collaboration works of similar-minded artist with a mutual aesthetic vision and with the sound machines build and sold under the METSÄÄN babel, grm has been providing 'means of production' to fellow sound artists all over the world.
