BEEK w/ BEAM SPLITTER + Nick Klein, bela, Libyscher Wald

The concert series continues during the week with a earsplitting evening of high volume and hyper extended physical play. 20:00 Libyscher Wald (DJ) 21:00 BEAM SPLITTER + Nick Klein (Live) 22:00 bela (Live) 22:45 Libyscher Wald (DJ) BEAM SPLITTER - The duo of Audrey Chen (US) and Henrik Munkeby Nørstebø (NO) is bringing their own brand of highly amplified dialog, which is as intimate as it is equal amounts raw and entirely exposed. They join together their two individual voices with trombone and analog electronics to create their own distinct language that delves beyond the borders of physicality. The duo collaborates with the artist Nick Klein (US). He is is working in sound and art with a lean towards the social potential in those modalities as they interact. Klein is uninterested in the prohibitive ideological tropes and circumstances that both contexts offer, and focuses the intent of his work on trying to see what productive energy comes from the friction between the two. https://psychicliberation.bandcamp.com/album/klein-splitter-ed bela (KOR) is a musician and a performance artist. They are known for electronic music performance merging pungmul - a Korean folk act rooted in agricultural traditions and linked to past social movements - and vocals inspired by extreme metal. bela shapes pungmul into the ritual for queer rage and grief with sub-heavy distortions and cries. https://6314.bandcamp.com/album/guidelines The live program will be extended by DJ sets from Libyscher Wald. It is the pseudonym of the Hamburg artist Thomas Baldischwyler. We don’t dare to predict which direction the hardly classifiable artist will take that evening. http://thomas-baldischwyler.com/
