BEEK w/ Junya Fujita, Alexander Iliashenko, Alessandra Eramo, Ditterich von Euler-Donnersperg, Tot Onyx, Semi Nice

This evening revolves around the presence, rhythm and contextualization of voice in relation to synthetic soundscapes. In an interlingual mixed media performance, the artists Junya Fujita and Alexander Iliashenko explore W.G. Sebald's novel "Austerlitz". Its scenes, their phonetic qualities and rhythm, serve as a score for an electric improvisation. Alessandra Eramo focuses on the role of voice opposed to its spacial surroundings and noise, creating a collage of immersive acoustics to move beyond sound into more visceral layers of poetic expression. Ditterich von Euler-Donnersperg creates narrational atmospheres, lead by spoken word and challenged by noisy interceptions. In the process, his pieces traverses tender electronic paths through industrial environments. Recently debuted with her solo album as Tot Onyx, Tommi Tokio incorporates a vast vocabulary of experience in visual, body performative, textual and sonic arts. She merges her voice and movement with sound design, a convergence of rough intimacy. Semi Nice will extend our sonic pirouettes on the decks in the bar.
