Miguel A. García: electronics, samples Ilia Belorukov: electronics, field recordings, samples Miguel A. Garcia and Ilia Belorukov met in 2013 in Saint-Petersburg at a recording session. After some time they started to work as a duo. Their first album „Wolkokrot“ was released by the hungarian label Inexhaustible Editions in 2015. It was a studio work with various electronics, sound samples and field recordings as blurred reflections of memories. Next studio work called „Don Treppenwitz“ released on Dinzu Artefacts from USA in 2018 and contains developing of their work with voice samples, field recordings, synthesizers and small electronics. As a live unit Miguel and Ilia plays using improvised contexts and working with sounds from fluteophone, electronic devices and objects. http://www.xedh.org Miguel A. García (aka Xedh) from the Basque country, is one of the most dynamic sound artists in the Spanish scene. His work focuses mainly on the composition and electroacoustic improvisation. He uses sounds taken from electronic devices residues, often interrelated with field recordings or acoustic instruments, in the search of an intimate, intense and immersive experience. A music of adventurous forms, full of contrasts and having nevertheless a sense of humor. His background comprises fine arts and audiovisual technology, questioning the borders between electro-acoustic academic music, industrial music and the so called outsider music. Ilia Belorukov is a musician from Saint-Petersburg, Russia. He works in the direction of improvised, noise and electroacoustic music. He’s a member of different projects such as Wozzeck, Mars-96 and others. He collaborates with musicians who work in other genres (from hardcore and metal to academic contemporary music); with dancers and painters; with theater. Ilia practices an experimental approach of sound extraction on alto saxophone with objects, uses laptop, electric-guitar and other instruments.
