Anthea Caddy (Melbourne, Berlin), cello, quadrophonic solo Mark Kysela (Stuttgart), saxofon, spielt Kompositionen von Christoph Ogiermann, Martin Schüttler, Michael Maierhof Anthea Caddy: Anthea Caddy is a cellist and artist from Melbourne, Australiacurrently based in Berlin, Germany. Interested in the relationshipbetween space, recorded sound and instrumental performance, her workfocuses on her ability to utilise the physical nuances of acousticand amplified space. When performing live she uses these techniquesto create a sonic experience that immerses her audience within hercello, removing the space between audience and performer and allowingthe physical and sonic dimensions of the performance space andinstrument to take centre focus. In live solo performance she oftenuses low lighting or complete darkness in multi-channelconfigurations re-articulating the sonic space she performs in. Alongside her solo work Anthea collaborates and has performed withmany artists in various guises, most notably with sound artist ThembiSoddell, Annette Krebs, Philip Samartzis, Magda Mayas, Tarab (EamonSprod), Anthony Pateras, Eric la Casa, Sean Baxter, Christian Wolff,Tony Conrad, Robin Fox, Robin Hayward, Clare Cooper, Morten Olsen andLiz Allbee. She is a current member of the 24 piece SplitterOrchestra, Berlin.
